Polish exchange
The exhibition of printmaking works, curated by Elaine Shemilt PPSSA, which was shown in the Royal Scottish Academy as part of the Annual Exhibition was the Scottish element of an SSA exchange between our Artists and staff of The Department of Printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts Wroclaw, Poland.
The Wroclaw Academy of Art and Design is one of seven Polish Fine Art Academies supported by the Minister of Culture. Its Graphics Department has faculties of Graphic Design, Media Arts and Printmaking. The Printmaking Department while also teaching new technical processes is, as shown in this exhibition, very strong in classical techniques.

OPPORTUNITY FOR SSA MEMBERS
The SSA will be curating an exhibition of
members' work to travel to Wroclaw in April 2011.
The exhibition will concentrate on original prints and artist's books.
