SSA Member, Abigail Juett, is showing her work in a solo show at the Claremont Gallery, 66 Claremont Street, Aberdeen AB10 6QY.
This exhibition show-cases new works by Abigail Juett made during a 2 year self-initiated sabbatical. This sabbatical coincided with a move to a new studio space, a combination of events which, in the words of the artist “…..has proven to be of huge significance to my development as a painter. It has afforded me time and space – physically and mentally – to deeply engage with and develop my work and studio practice, and to connect more strongly to my personal creative language.”
The resulting pieces are large abstract canvases that reflect the artist’s interest in openness and space, and in process, the act of making a painting.
The show runs from 7th June – 16th August 2014
