We would also like to introduce you to the new Professional Members and update you on the ongoing development of our lovely shiny website.

MEMBER’S TALKS

VENICE
SSA Professional Member, Norman McBeath SSA will talk about a recently completed collaboration with one of the country’s leading poets, Robert Crawford, Professor of Modern Scottish Literature at the University of St Andrews. The work is called Venice and brings together printmaking, photography, poetry, translation and the story of a truly remarkable Renaissance character, James Crichton.

A SCOTTISH KARAOKE
Seattle born artist, Morgan Cahn has been selected for the SSA New Graduate Award 2013 from DJCAD. Cahn is an interdisciplinary artist that has a penchant for scavenging. She creates work that asks people to question their daily routines and interpersonal relationships in this age of disposability. At the AGM, Cahn will show a short video from her degree show, a time lapse of the week, and talk a little about the stories told within this work. She will then sing a karaoke video that illustrates the history of filmic representations of Scotland.
