Apply For Professional Membership

AarrestadThe SSA are now inviting applications from Ordinary Members for Professional Membership to the Society of Scottish Artists (SSA).

The SSA is an active network of artists with an international membership of 519 and a Professional Membership of 119.

Professional Membership is for artists who are actively practising professionally within one or more branches of the Visual Arts and is by selection only in recognition of their talent and dedication in this field.

Professional Membership permits you to add the post-nominal title ‘SSA’ after your name to indicate that you hold this professional accreditation.

Professional Members have all the benefits of Ordinary Membership but in addition may submit additional works at the Annual Exhibition and pay a lower rate of commission on sales. They are also eligible to submit work to  Professional Member Exhibitions.

Ordinary Members are eligible for consideration and election to Professional membership providing they meet the following criteria:

• They have been an Ordinary Member for at least the last two concurrent years and their fees have not lapsed

• They have had work accepted into the Annual Exhibition at least once within the last two years

Ordinary Members who meet the above criteria and wish to be considered should click here to download an application form.

Submission Deadline: Sunday 11 May 2014
