Contact: nebushnell@aol.com websites My name is Nancy E Bushnell, I was born in 1966 in Dundee brought up in the borders. I am naturally gifted at Art and since the age of 21 years have sold much of my work through advertising and local galleries. This has in the main been done on a commission basis. My Art work has been varied from Abby’s and Castles , Wedding, child and pet portraits and scenes such as Clydesdale horses pulling a plough. I now have my own company, where I specialise in offering Art Workshops. I aim to teach people how to capture their thoughts and feelings on canvas, to look all around them and see through artist eyes, ensuring attention to colour, detail, expression and tone. The next step is then to use those artistic eyes to then capture selected subject matter onto paper or canvas. It is not just how to paint and draw it is how to truly see the subject matter, to distinguish the characteristics that identify the subject matter, to capture it using basic techniques of light and dark, soft and bold, harsh or mellow tones. Each of the mediums used will be self discovery for every artist . I will examine everyone’s strong points and aim to develop their weaker points. My more recent artwork has been with Abstract and working with Canvas’s. I love the boldness that Acrylics can offer, softer lines that water pencil can achieve including the ability for extreme detail, mellow tones that water colour guarantees, stark contrasts that graphite pencil uses and the harmonious tones achieved through blending pastels. Additionally, Charcoal, is an excellent choice for quick sketching, very easy to work with and has a very striking effect
