Artist’s Statement
I draw my inspiration from the natural world, particularly the textures and shapes of the inanimate world of trees, plants and flowers. I am inspired by frequent visits to Edinburgh’s Botanical Gardens and my influences include Cy Twombly, Patrick Heron, Howard Hodgkin, Sandra Blow and Jurgen Partenheimer.
