We are looking for 4 members of the Society of Scottish Artists to be part the General Submissions Selecting Committee for 121st Annual Exhibition.

What’s involved?
Part of a committee responsible for selecting artworks for the exhibition, you will view and vote on artworks submitted digitally to General Submissions.

After submissions deadline has passed, you will be given access to the online voting system where you must look at each submission and cast your vote. This is done online in your own time before Thursday 18 October 2018.

Previous exhibitions have attracted around 1500 General Submissions, this year we anticipate even more. Please be aware that looking at submissions does take time and you are required to view and vote on every work.

You will be required to attend a full day meeting in Edinburgh on Saturday 20 October 2018 to make the final pre-selections. You must be available on this date. You will also be required to make final selections at the RSA on Sunday 16 December.

All artists who have submitted artworks will then be informed whether their work has been pre-selected.

What are we looking for?
All members are welcome to apply. We are interested to hear from Society members who have not previously taken part in exhibition selection committees. We are also keen to receive applications from artists working in a range of disciplines and from those who live outwith Edinburgh. (Travel expenses can be covered up to a limit).

How to apply.
You can nominate yourself to be part of the Selection Committee.
Deadline: Sunday 19 August, midnight.

The SSA membership will be invited to vote on applications and the persons with the most votes will be invited to be part of the Selection Committee.

Please complete the form below.

We look forward to receiving your nomination.
