The second call to the contest of engraving Fig Bilbao, comes to light. After the success of the previous edition in which 150 artists participated, Fig Bilbao repeats the formula with one cash prize of 18.000 euros.
As well, Casa Falconieri, one of the organizers of the festival, awards two research grants for 10 days each, in their Art Center in Sardinia. The contest is part of the second festival to be held on November 28th, 29th, 30th and December 1st in Bilbao. As part of the festival, there will be, among other things, an engraving show of different artists, galleries and specialized groups, an exposition at the Fine Arts Museum of Bilbao, meetings, forums…
The international jury, highly qualified, is composed by Gabriella Locci, president of Casa Falconieri, Javier Blas, former director of the National Calcografía current Coordinator of academic, institucional realtions and communication patronage of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, Javier Viar, Director of the Museum of Fine Arts in Bilbao, Ugo Collu, Foundation Chairman Costantino Nivola, Franco Fanelli, teacher, artist, deputy director of “The art Newspaper” and editor of “Vernissage”.
