Are you painting landscapes in Scotland? Did you know that Scotland’s largest art prize is aimed specifically at landscape painters? The Jolomo Bank of Scotland Awards has a top prize of £25,000 and a further £10,000 divided among the runners up, so represents a significant set of opportunities for artists in these difficult times. The 2013 Awards are now open for entries, with a closing date of January 14, 2013.

The Jolomo Awards have been made every two years since 2006, and are aimed at emerging artists painting the Scottish landscape (there is no age limit). They aim to recognise excellence in landscape painting in a wide range of styles, particularly those who are taking the genre forward in new directions.
