Works on Paper by Lucy Jones

John Knox HouseAn exhibition of landmarks with a literary connection at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh.

For this exhibition at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, SSA Member Lucy has sought out some of the many buildings in the capital which have a literary connection.

Subjects include national landmarks such as the Scott Monument and John Knox House, to writers’ houses and haunts such as the White Hart Inn as frequented by Robbie Burns and the Elephant House café where Harry Potter is said to have been conceived.

Wherever possible, she has used relevant texts and images to construct her collages, creating unique ‘building portraits’ which tell both a literary and visual story.
