Membership

The Society of Scottish Artists is an active network of artists with members from throughout the UK. Run for and by artists since its inception in 1891, the SSA aims to provide exhibition opportunities for artists, to promote education and communication and to raise awareness of current artmaking in Scotland. The name is something of a misnomer; you do not have to be Scottish to be a member, nor to exhibit with the SSA.

Amongst other benefits, membership allows you to submit your work to the Annual Exhibitions free of charge, which could immediately pay for itself if you were to have two works hung in the exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy.
