Kerrien lives on the coast of Argyll and is inspired to paint by the wild beauty of this ever changing landscape. She enjoys experimenting with the textures and effects that she can achieve with acrylics in particular, and uses these to give movement and light to her paintings.
“The unpredictable and (often!) wet weather in Argyll creates a spectrum of ever shifting light that can change the way a particular seascape, headland or woodland appears. I aspire to capture this in my paintings, using the opportunity and flexibility that I find with acrylics.”

Kerrien lives in Achnamara, on the West Coast of Scotland. Originally from Cornwall, she has painted for many years and started exhibiting regularly after moving to Argyll. She currently has work in a number of galleries including The Archway, Lochgilphead; Holroyd Gallery, Ballachulish; Stable Gallery, Inveraray; The Outback, Islay and Inchmore Gallery, Inverness. Her first solo exhibition takes place at The Archway from 17th May to 6th June 2014.
