Statement

MAGGIE REEVE D.F.A. Slade School, U.C.L.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

My work is an attempt to resolve ideas related to landscape with all its structures, forces and tensions through observation and intuition.

My approach is through drawing, structuring and consolidating ideas on paper, canvas or board, using colour, shape and texture. The works should compliment one another when shown together, but should stand up individually as well.

The shapes and colours are dictated by the mood of the subject matter. I enjoy experimenting and discovering new ways to represent different aspects of landscape and everything to do with it.
