Mary-Beth Quigley is a Dundee based artist that works predominantly with found and recycled materials using textile sculpture and creative embroidery. Characters are invented from memory focusing on an obsession with the animal kingdom and childhood recollections; from celebrating family life to yearning for a time of innocence whilst getting lost in her own personal wonderland. Her work consists of constructing imaginative life sized sculptures and wearable pieces then creating narrative through detailed installations, photography, performance and film. Viewers are invited into the wonderland, to explore, touch, participate and to perhaps conjure their own memories but most importantly to be enjoyed.
David Attenborough is her hero.
