My work is about paint, colour and seeking to capture a distinct moment in time and the impression it leaves in the mind. I work in acrylic and/or water-miscible oil paint and my most recent work explores the theme of the figure, particularly children, in the natural environment.

I studied physics at University and worked as a patent attorney for ten years before choosing to focus on my lifelong passion for art. I recently graduated from Edinburgh College of Art, with a BA degree in Combined Studies (Art & Design). I have exhibited in the SSA Open 2013 & 2018, Visual Arts Scotland Open 2014, the RSA Open Exhibition 2012, the Macmillan Art Show (2013-2016), in "Working Lines", a group exhibition of drawings and prints at the Edinburgh Ski Club (August 2013) , and the follow up exhibitions "Paperwork" and "Paperwork 2", also at the Edinburgh Ski Club, in the Edinburgh Fringe 2014 and 2015; ECA Degree Show 2016, and solo shows at Embo Deli, 29 Haddington Place, Edinburgh, from Jan- 8 March 2017 and at McNaughtan's Bookshop Gallery Oct-Dec 2017. Two of my degree show paintings were purchased for the "Art in Healthcare" charity's permanent collection.

Most recenty, I was a selected exhibitor for the Columbia Threadneedle Prize (Figurative Art Today) 2018 at the Mall Galleries, London, from 31st Jan - 17th February 2018. (My painting "Melting Ice" was selected from over 4000 entries.)
