Micro Residencies At ESW

Applications are now invited from artists working in any medium for Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop’s 2015-16 Micro Residency Programme.

Deadline: Monday 6th April 2015

image010The Micro Residency Programme is primarily research-based and is set up to foster experimentation and innovation, and to support artists in the development of new work.

The flexible nature of the programme allows artists to explore new ideas outwith their normal practice and also benefit from ESW’s facilities and staff support.

The residents will also be part of a vibrant and welcoming studio holder and artistic community opening up the networking and peer review opportunities.

As this is a research period there are no set outcomes expected from the residency.

There are four Micro Residencies throughout the year, with each lasting six weeks.

Artists will receive:

·         £300 stipend

·         24 hour access to a studio

·         Access to use Workshop facilities, spaces and research resources

·         Accommodation

·         Support from the Technical team

·         Support from the Programme team

·         Access to all workshops / equipment / spaces

·         1 year’s Membership of ESW
