SSA Professional Member, Ruth Nicol, inspired by Alexander Moffat’s ‘Poets’ Pub’, investigates the landscapes of the seven great Scottish poets; Hugh MacDiarmid, Edwin Morgan, Norman MacCaig, Sorley Maclean, George MacKay Brown, Robert Garioch and Ian Crichton Smith.

Capturing the vast and varied landscapes of Scotland during an intense period of national, artistic and cultural self-reflection.


‘Three Rivers Meet’ is a mixed media and multi-location event that includes paintings, video, audio material, artist talk, school visits and workshops. Presented over a period of 29 weeks, lasting 7 months, at the following five partner galleries:

Open Eye Gallery Edinburgh –  11th October to 29th October 2014
Duff House Macduff – 7th November to 2nd January 2015
RGI Kelly Gallery Glasgow – 15th November to 29th November 2014
Park Gallery Falkirk – 31st January to 18th April 2015
Line Gallery Linlithgow – 31st January to 24th February 2015
