Volunteering opportunity on public artwork at ESW

Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop are currently constructing a large sculpture for Napier University and are in urgent need of dedicated metal working volunteers.

They need 2 volunteers to work on Thursdays and possibly the odd Wednesday starting a.s.a.p. and working for the next 4-5 weeks. Construction is based at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshops. Completion of the project is scheduled for late July/first week of August.

Ideally they need someone with previous metal working experience, but full training will be given by our outstanding technician.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience of working in a professional environment and learn new skills. They will pay public transport travel expenses and volunteers will be invited to the unveiling of the sculpture. The artwork is scheduled for installation in September this year and will be a prominent new piece of public art, placed next to the Union Canal walkway.
