The Society of Scottish Artists is delighted to announce that artist Joanne Pemberton has been selected for the Eichstätt Lithography Residency 2024.

This bi-annual Lithography Residency Prize includes a period of time working in the studio and a solo exhibition with an opening reception. It is offered by SSA working in partnership with Li Portenlänger, Director of Lithographie-Werkstatt Eichstätt in Bavaria, Germany.

Joanne Pemberton works in print and sculpture to map geological discoveries and encounters within the city, landscape, archive and print studio. Joanne graduated from Glasgow School of Art Masters programme in 2022 and spent last summer studying at Tamarind Institute for Lithography.

On receiving the award, Joanne said:
I am absolutely delighted to be selected for this residency. Thank you SSA and Li Portenlanger for this amazing opportunity to enable me to continue my learning and development as an artist through the medium of Stone Lithography.
