Spoondrift showcases new work by three ArtWalk artists, Jacqui Higgs SSA, Jude Nixon and Mary Walters SSA. All three artists are drawn to wild, remote locations and the resulting work shares a forceful energy and is both powerful and compelling.

Jacqui Higgs will be showing paintings and drawings created from visits to Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Shetland and Caithness as well as remote locations in Kirdcudbright.

Jude Nixon’s paintings are based on study visits to the far north of Scotland and reflects her interest in materiality and a fascination with water, costal edges and tidelines.

Mary Walters is currently finding inspiration in ice forms, both on land and at sea and in applying the results to her practice.

Exhibition: 7-11th December, 10am-6pm

Private View: Friday 6 December, 6-8.30pm. All welcome.
