MEMBER SPOTLIGHT | Ade Adesina
The Society of Scottish Artists is home to a diverse and dynamic community of artists. To showcase the work of our members, we’ve launched a monthly member spotlight, where one SSA Member is chosen at random to be featured on our website and social media. This month, we are excited to highlight Artist Member, Ade Adesina.
Ade is an artist based in Aberdeen, working across printmaking and sculpture. A graduate of Gray’s School of Art, his practice explores ecology and the rapidly changing world through visual commentary rooted in contemporary social and political narratives. Combining traditional printmaking, painting, and sculpture, Ade creates work that invites reflection on the past, present, and future.
In 2017, Ade was selected from an open call to artists for the SSA Engramme Artist Exchange offering a solo exhibition at Engramme and this year he will feature as the SSA’s invited artist for the upcoming autumn exhibition, Perpetual Motion at An Lanntair.
