Through predominantly painting Alice Campbell creates surreal, other-wordly and rather playful imagery with a strong narrative art style running throughout. By inventing her own characters and surroundings she composes her own unique outlook, often with scant regard to the logic and order of the real world. While the imagery often derives from her own experiences, more established narratives of folklore and mythology have had an important influence on her practice for some time.

Alice Campbell is a Scottish artist living and working in Glasgow. She graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in June 2017 with a first class honours degree. Since she has been exhibiting her work with the Castlegate House Gallery in their gallery in Cumbria as well as at various art fairs in London.
