By tracing the shapes of plants and trees, cutting them into weatherproof material and grouping them with real plants I create constructions that comment the visual perception of technology and memory of nature. Working for both outdoor and indoor spaces, my practice examines our relationship with the landscape around us. Using sculptural techniques and live plants, I explore how we have shaped and utilised landscapes for our political, economic and immaterial needs. The sculptures are subtle interventions, merging into the built environment and relating directly to the site environment.
By experimenting with new materials, techniques and thematic processes,
I aim to develop positive approaches to divisive environmental concerns, while at the same time delivering a site responsive artwork and spread goodwill.
