My photographic work is a response to findings on my travels. Abstract and conventional photography along with the written word capture mood and emotions from far flung places and closer to home. I find myself drawn to the smaller details in nature, finding beauty in the unseen and ordinary.

Working in both colour and monochrome I am driven by a desire to explore wild and remote landscapes, and to comment on man’s interaction with nature.

Making small, limited edition books alongside individual prints is an alternative way of expressing my thoughts and emotions.

Photography is my passion, and is a means to express my love for nature and the peace that I find when exploring wild places .

Using my photography as a means to express the fragility and transience of life, I prefer the intimate landscape to the bigger picture. Favoured locations include the highlands of Scotland, Iceland , New Zealand and the beach at Camber Sands close to my studio at the ‘The School Creative Centre’ in Rye. I use multiple exposure and intentional camera movement alongside traditional techniques as a means of self expression.

2010 ARPS (Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society) with impressionistic images of sand and water from the Hebrides.

2011 Postgraduate Certificate in Photography at Central St Martin’s, University of the Arts, London.

I have published a number of books and poems through my publishing house; Hawkwood Press, and have recently completed the first year of an MA in book art at University of the Arts, London.
