'Monolith 3'

Inspired by Western consumerism and wastefulness Christina Kyriakidou makes art that raises existential questions and addresses environmental issues. Despite her being a multidisciplinary artist that consistently experiments with new areas of practice, she often reintroduces the use of waste in her work. Debris is seen as a direct documentation of a consumerist way of life, but also a visual representation of modern day stress and addictions. Christina Kyriakidou has studied Illustration/Visual Communication at City of Glasgow College and is a 2019 BA (Hons) Contemporary Art Practice graduate.
