Most of my work is representational. I like to produce images that have the flavour of experienced moments effects of texture, light and atmosphere.
The influences I am most aware of are Rembrandt, and the more modern Dutch etchers Aat Veldhoen, Willem den Ouden, and Charles Donker, but I have accumulated an eclectic mix of other polestars, especially Pentti Kaskipuro, Mikael Kihlman, and Mikael Wahrby, and the painters Gottfried Tritten, Gerhard Richter, and Vilhelm Hammershøi and his brother-in-law Peter Ilsted.

1955, Middlesex; educ. Universities of Newcastle, Leeds, and St Andrews.
