Scottish landscape is renowned for its ancient scenery but I’m
fascinated by its transience. The weather wrings changes from the
landscape moment to moment – light, warmth then shadow deepens
and suddenly a gust of wind makes you turn away and it is changed.

I use acrylics, collage and other mixed drawing media to help me
find that immediacy in my work. Layers help me find depth and
movement with a base layer of bright abstract mark making that
peeks through the finished pieces.
