Among other topics, I am inspired to make work focusing on the Scottish diaspora and the Highland Clearances. While researching my family history I discovered that my ancestors had been cleared from Arisaig in Argyll and the Strath of Kildonan in Sutherland - some of the hardest hit communities.
The intellectual search is to establish an illustrative link to the lost Scottish heritage.
In 2013 I was chosen as a Finalist in the prestigious Bank of Scotland Jolomo Foundation Awards.
'Community on the Edge' was exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy Open Exhibition in 2016.
