I am a painter, printmaker and ludic poet and have exhibited throughout Scotland and the rest of the United Kingdom. I like to represent contemporary life and times, with visual reference to the art historical sources I admire.

I was born in Buckie and brought up in the Orkney Islands. I studied at Edinburgh College of Art where I won an Andrew Grant Open Scholarship and exhibited at the Young Contemporaries London.

My most recent shows were Natural and Unnatural Worlds at the Sutton Gallery, Edinburgh, 2015 and In the City at Coburg House Gallery, Leith, 2012. I have also had solo shows of visual poems and pictorial prints in the gallery at Edinburgh Printmakers where I make most of my prints. My most recent solo exhibitions of prints were Select Cuts, 2012 and Recent Prints, 2011, both at The Gallery at McNaughtan's Bookshop.
