As an artist my interest is in communicating an atmospheric, visceral repsonse to landscape – also researching the environment, history and geology of the landscape I paint.

I often work in collaboration with poets or musicians, which I find an inspiring part of the creative process, resulting in multi-layered interpretations for artist and viewer.

My arts education includes a Degree in Fine Art and Related Arts from Chichester University followed by Post Graduate Degree in Museum and Gallery Curation at St Andrew’s University, Scotland.

My work has shown in galleries around the UK and abroad including the Royal Scottish Academy, City Art Centre, Open Eye and Sutton Galleries in Edinburgh, the Lighthouse, Brighton, Limetree in Bristol, Gallery One, Berlin and Corte Real in Portugal.

I also worked for many years in the field of public art, most recently as lead artist/curator for the Leverndale Hospital, Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
