Sándor Nagy was born in Sepsiszentgyörgy, Transylvania (RO) in 1980. After he finished his studies (Visual Art and Painting Department, School of art Brasov, Romania) in 2003 he settled in Budapest (Hungary) where he was working as a freelance visual artist, painting and restoring frescoes. He attended countless international group exhibitions, and he had one personal exhibition in Székely National Museum, Sepsiszentgyörgy (RO) and one in Budapest (HU). During his career, he is involved in painting, icon painting, photo, video, performance art. Finally, in the past years, he is creating digital and nature art in Romania, Hungary, Scotland (UK) and Malta. While he is using a variety of modern technologies, materials and processes in each project his methodology is consistent. In a world that is constantly changing via incredible leaps in technology and unbelievable strains upon the environment, he is constantly questioning our connection and our loss of connection to the land. He believes that energy connects us within space and time to each other, to our planet and cosmos. Performance and rituals have always played an essential role in his work. He is finding peace and fulfillment in the creative process, especially when he is experimenting and combining different mediums.
