Artworks about the shapes and edges of stuff: buildings, cities, furniture, objects and words. Working since 2012 on a series of paintings/drawings stemming from a simple but compelling idea: walking in city streets and looking up at the sky squeezed in between the buildings.
Sarah takes Polaroid snaps as she walks around urban backstreets in cities (including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, London, Berlin, Hong Kong and Sydney to date) then obliterates them to create reimagined city spaces in oils and pencil. A painter not a photographer, Sarah's innovative analogue work nonetheless attracts interest in the international film photography community.
