I am an artist and printmaker. Composition, colour, relationships between shapes, texture, fragments of colour observed in landscape or in urban settings all form part of my work. I work from memory and imagination. My interest lies in the dialogue between flatness and depth in the rectangle of a painting or print. I delight in the hand of the artist, brushstrokes, drawing, marks scratches and scrapes.

I am a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art in Drawing and Painting. For many years I taught Art and Design in Fife secondary schools. Former Chairperson, Fife Dunfermline Printmakers Workshop, currently on committee. I print monotypes and screenprints at the workshop and produce paintings and collages at my studio in Dunfermline. I received the John Gray Award from the RSW in 2010. In 2012 I undertook a residency at Hospitalfield Arts Centre and this experience continues to influence my work.
