Statement
| Statement | My work is essentially landscape-based and is influenced by geometries which occur in nature. Music and poetry are also factors in the development of my work. In producing work, I tend to select elements from the environment – rhythm / sounds / perspectives / geometries / patterns / atmospheres / movement / flatness / space / divisions / limits / direction / place / presence / light / shade. The works are basically an abstraction or a translation of these elements and my intention is to communicate a sense of space, movement and order. |

| Biography | Born Banff, Scotland. Studied Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. Post Graduate Year. Held several senior posts in art education in Tayside and Fife. Part-time Lecturer at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, Dundee. Assessor in Art & Design for the Scottish Qualifications Authority. Secretary, Scottish Centre for Geopoetics. Member, Board of Directors, Dundee Contemporary Arts.
