Exploring her connection and her place within the Orkney Landscape through the slow, meditative process of hand-textiles, Molly creates a dialogue between herself, the materials and her natural surroundings.

After researching her family connection to textiles during a community arts project, Molly was drawn to the process of weaving−the connection between maker and loom, the importance of touch, and the possibilities of exploring this traditional skill in her contemporary art practice.

Molly continues to develop a responsive and intuitive approach to textile work, most recently exploring the connection between the land, folklore and women.
