SSA Website Award
The ‘SSA Website Award‘ offers 1 years promotional page on the SSA website. In 2012 it was awarded to Tina Wanderwerf for her photographic work Baliscate, 06.22 am and to Annie Woodford for Microsphere I, a Collagraph print.
Tina Vanderwerf’s work gives us the key to unlock a thousand stories in our imagination. Each found fragment of china hints at a truth that we can only guess at, but will never really know. Still, it is irresistible to visualise the hands that held the crockery and the Hebridean homes that sheltered it. Tina’s installation, as much as her own zeal for her found treasure, is utterly captivating.
Annie Woodford studied ceramics and glass at the Royal College of Art where she received a travel scholarship. Exhibiting nationally and internationally, her work is included in public and private collections worldwide. Extensively traveled, she has carried out major research projects in Egypt, Iceland, the Arctic and New Zealand.
