The quick drying-time of acrylics and watercolours, which I mostly use, lends an urgency to my creative process, breathing vitality into the mark making and paintings. Energetically applied paint conveys the fast-changing weather and light conditions in the Hebrides and Highlands, while fluid paint allowed to run creates a sense of the frequent rain.

I am a landscape painter living on the Isle of Skye, perhaps best known for my rainy-day sheep paintings.
