My practice evolves around the exploration of Painting as “surface” and questions the traditional flatness of this medium by exploring form and shape in relation to space; both deep and shallow. Painting on sheets of steel, which have a 1mm gradient, heightens their two-dimensionality and relationship with the wall.
I am interested in Painting in terms of illusion and pictorial representation and through the practice of drawing, painting and installation my work responds to the real, the replica and the represented.
