Milling’s work is engaged with the environment and our performance within it. Spare Time is an ongoing project which when completed will include 50 community halls across the breadth of Edinburgh with a view to making a publication that can be widely distributed. Celebrating the diverse activity in communal spaces which provide a safe sheltered centre outside of the workplace or home.
Working with photography and film, she has received numerous awards and exhibited at The Royal Scottish Academy, Streetlevel Photoworks, Glasgow; Stills, Edinburgh; Peacock Visual Arts, Aberdeen; Generator, Dundee; and Edinburgh Art Festival amongst others.

She is also part of the Ethel Maude Artists Collective, Eggbox and has set up Copystand – a Reproduction Photography Service for artists and publishers


Milling was born in London and grew up in South Wales. She completed her BA and MA Fine Art degrees at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, University of Dundee and now lives and works in Edinburgh.
