Statement
| Statement | Like everybody, I started drawing and painting as a young child (I think I was an abstract expressionist at the age of four), most people stop, some like me, continue. My work is Realist and if you look closely you will see that it isn’t Hyperrealist, I want it to reflect my personality in my brushstrokes. I am interested in detail and all the surprising colour combinations that I can find. I tend to prefer sunny days for the strong contrast of light & shade that it gives but I still love the Scottish climate with its moody brooding clouds shrouding the mountains and the subtle colour combinations that it gives. On viewing, I hope that people enjoy and are exited by what they see. I take fun very seriously. |
