Storytelling is the impetus behind my practice . For the last few years the stage for the stories I am striving to create within my paintings and drawings has been my home city of Glasgow. I draw a lot of sketchbook work on location around the city and these locations are siphoned into my larger drawings and paintings. I concentrate on figurative work trying to convey character and storytelling though the facial expressions and emotions I capture in the people in my images.
