| Statement |
I am a printmaker and papermaker, currently linked to The UNESCO centre for Water Law, Po;icy and Science at the University of Dundee. My role is to collaborate with scientists on understanding water systems and the effects on water suppy of our changing climate. I am interested in how scientists monitor changes and why we have been avoiding their advice for centuries.
Combining with microscopic images with drawings of the environment they come from is a recurring theme in my work, and the process of making a drawing and developing it into a print is fundamental to how I develop an idea. The printing process allows me to experiment with colour and tone and I enjoy the fact that one plate can be the source of a whole range of images.
