Statement

Statement

Jenny Smith is an artist and writer who recently moved to the Isle of Lewis from Edinburgh. Her work explores the relationship between memory, place and process and is an investigation into what the definition of drawing can be, in its broadest sense. Jenny draw with a variety of different mediums, including sunlight (cyanotypes) rain (watercolours) fire (a laser cutter) and of course sometimes paper, stick and pencils.

She creates drawings, paintings, limited edition prints and artist books. Currently inspired by the Hebridean landscape in which she lives and works and her relationship to it.
