Statement

 

 My work is focused around colour, mood, reaction, thoughts and ideas.

It is loosely landscape based but I only use that as a take off point.

I try to draw with colour and make the work sing.

I use a variety of materials; brushwork, scraping, flooding, inks, paper, wood etc.

The painting evolves, changing as it grows.

I tend to do as I feel and it’s a bonus when people like my work

Diploma in Fine Art.        Slade School, University College London.

Diploma in Creative Writing.         Glasgow University.

I trained at Jordanhill College Glasgow then taught Art and Design for thirty years.   Now I paint and show my work regularly.   I also write short stories.

I am registered with The Public Catalogue Foundation (ART UK.) and am an Artist Member Glasgow Society of Women Artists
