SNOT, SICK, SELF, SEX, SPIT. My main drive to create is directed by my own experiences as a non-binary AFAB person growing up in Scotland, often influenced by the stereotypes of ugliness and disgust, and what that means in my world. I view my work as documentative portraiture. Composing my subject matter in a multidisciplinary approach allows me to explore my feminist viewpoints visually, using traditionally uncomfortable imagery such as leaked period blood stains, grinning teeth, glitter sprinkled tongues, and cracked eczema troubled skin.
