Having run a Graphic Design practice for over 30 years I am now increasingly concentrating on my own work as a visual artist.

I draw on the technical skills learnt as a designer and illustrator to advance as an artist, producing digital prints and studio photographs. I find inspiration from diverse landscapes, from found objects, and from exotic flora and fauna, bringing together these various elements to produce unexpected photo-realistic images.

I learnt my trade as a designer sat at a drawing board rather than in front of a screen, and I am once again exploring pen and ink, graphite pencil and watercolour as a counterbalance to the ubiquitous computer.
