I am a fine art printmaker, drawing inspiration from a large personal collection of inter- and national travel photographs, transforming internalised experiences into atmospheric images.

The scenes may be worked up in photography itself or as contemporary drawings, depicting nature, landscape and architecture and encapsulating the essence of the place or situation witnessed. I operate across a range of printmaking processes and am equally fascinated by the process of deciding which technique to apply as the physical production itself.

I print in order to help preserve and share traditional printmaking skills and heritage for future generations. My practice is driven by an instilled, personal need for the sensory and tactile experience of working with heavy presses, textured papers, the glistening ink when a print is first revealed, the smell of ink in the air and the buzz of being in a workshop.
