Statement

Statement

I’m a visual artist working in printmaking, mixed media and digital art. I make layered artworks that incorporate natural, found and repurposed materials. I’m fascinated by the details and changes in the natural world that I observe on my daily walks around my home in Moidart, on the West Coast of Scotland. I’m a beekeeper and forest gardener, and the rhythms of nature and outdoor wellbeing are fundamental to my creative practice. Gathered textures such as seaweed, sand, plant fibres and beeswax find their way into my print plates and mixed media pieces. My aim is to create soothing and absorbing artworks that allude to the lines and patterns found within and around us.
