Statement

Statement

“I shine a light into the areas of life not readily seen. By observing, imagining, drawing and painting, I seek to illuminate, and in so doing, pay homage to my subjects”.

My interests lie in observing emerging socio-political ideas as they manifest within society. Shining a dim and gentle light into quiet pockets of life, communicating and reinterpreting contemporary narratives. I reflect on the knots and sporadic shoots of intensity emerging through our collective consciousness, transported from person to person and group to group, finally creating wider culture.

Research is based in the here and now, current affairs, the impact of religion and politics. She refer to contemporary philosophers and political commentators such as Thomas Sowell and Roger Scruton,  Psychoanalysis and George Orwell.
