Salary: £6,000 on a freelance basis for a fixed term 12 month contract (with 3 month probationary period)
The Society of Scottish Artists needs an Administrator to co-ordinate the planning and delivery of the organisation’s prestigious annual show at the RSA and manage the day to day administration of the society.
Formed in 1891 to show the most ‘adventurous’ art of the day, the Scottish Society of Artists continues to show innovative and challenging works by international artists whilst supporting emerging and experimental artists in a number of practical ways.
The SSA is an artist-led membership organisation governed by an elected President and elected Council consisting of around twelve members of the Society.
The Administrator is key to the successful running of the organisation, managing finance, membership and subscriptions through effective use of IT including email, web, Excel spreadsheets and Access databases.
